Why we do genealogy?Since I can remember, I have always had a keen interest in history and archaeology. As a child, I read a lot of books on military history and biographies. At university, I studied various fields of economics. I have always loved political maps. What I particularly enjoy to study is how the national borders moved and transformed across history, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries. This background helps me immensely in my work: it allows me see right away, which country a particular city was part of, what kind of records and personal documents are available. Through genealogy, I help my clients solve mysteries, locating documents and thinking out of the box. I save my clients' time and make the exciting process of finding out your family history easy and comfortable. My passion for solving riddles and finding answers for difficult questions manifested in 5 years of high-level Trivia championships across Russia and St. Petersburg. Now I use my ability to find unorthodox and quick solutions in my work. In the past century, the world has seen two world wars, revolutions, and conflict. Documents and records moved constantly across borders and it's often very hard to track down this information. Population registers and census lists of one region are sometimes kept in another region. People who are not familiar with archival work are not used to spending long hours and often days looking for information and find it quite daunting. It's only natural that people want to study their family history in the comfort of their own homes, and not in a cold and dusty archive. Genealogy is the field where I feel I can really be of service to people. I love what I do. It brings me joy to see that I can help people find relatives, unravel the mysteries of their family history, bring back memory and restore the good name of their ancestors. We enjoy working with big structures - archives, organizations, and public servants. Since we can remember, we have always had a keen interest in history and archaeology.
